Reiterating On Last Ending to Elaborate

Previously, I posted:

Briefly, my posts are often long. I'll sometimes chop one up into 2, but I'm too lazy to do that now. One of the things I'll comment later on is the advisor wanting Israel to return to the pre-1967 boundaries. A lot of people don't think that's a big deal, but it really is. I'll explain why in a later post. In the meantime, I'll post this video here and you should listen to everything she says. Don't try to paraphrase her. Do it verbatim as context gets easily shifted around with the substitution of just one word.

Rev. Lee's Anti-Semitism

At the start of my last post, I asked whether disguising racism or being open about it is worse.
It's rather interesting that "disguised racism" (as I will dubb it) has been going on for 20 years behind doors, and now that it's coming out nationally, you look at all of this and realize that there is no denying the racist content.

Racism is racism--manipulation, discrimination, and brain washing indefinitely. Is having proof of it and yet denial about it any much better than open display of discrimination in the Deep South? The irony is that, while I look down upon White Supremacists, at least they didn't try to hide their agenda. At least we knew exactly what they wanted and how they felt.
Just because someone preaches or supports racism and denies it doesn't make them any better: we may only think of them as better because we want to believe the .000000001 chance that they are right about their denial. Ironically, at least white supremacists were honest with us. Either way, if someone discirminates against you, they aren't going to have your back. You're going to get stabbed either way.
Would you prefer investing time and energy into a friend who ends up stabbing you in the back, or being able to know that someone is going to hate you anyway no matter what you do so don't bother with them? So which one is really better, and are they even really that different?

Both would be happy to see you down, one might just pretend to have sympathy, but what does it matter if it's not genuine?

Anti-Semitism Issues That Have Been on My Mind

Which is worse: Disguising Racism or Being Up Front About it?

I will admit: I really liked Obama. I thought he was a breath of fresh air...someone who really utilized the "young" community. He gave the college kids a voice and seemed to really appreciate their efforts. He's just a charismatic guy you want to like..especially to root for over Clinton.

However, I had to put my emotions aside and really look at the bare facts in what I really wanted for a President, this country, and my life. First came the wife's comments about never bring proud to be an American (after graduating Ivy Leagues, recognized for achievements and all), then his Pastor...his "mentor" and "guidance" and closest ally and "uncle"...

Even after this, I was still trying to be understanding, but I was definitely starting to question him.

The moment I found out Obama's military advisor is Anti-Semitic, that was it.
The President of the US is supposed to represent me and you. They have to be someone other nations look at and trust. If Obama has an Anti-Semitic military advisor, change is going to happen--only everything will be catalytic to already volatile situations and environments in the Middle East, around the world, and here at home. You have to ask yourself what this will mean.

Obama was urged to drop his Anti-Semitic military advisor, but I still haven't heard any updates on the decision.

No one likes being wrong; it takes a lot of self criticism, acceptance, and confidence to admit that you were wrong. I will admit it. There are things going on in this world that people don't know enough about or really understand because history builds up on itself and people just don't have the time or sources to really study all the way back far enough. We have to put aside our emotions and look at the facts that are there.

Once college students (a collection of some of the brightest, most energetic, and most adaptive minds) realize it's ok to lay out the facts that look at them, we are all going to feel so duped. We are in a phase of infatuation and denial. We criticize hypocrisy and blissful ignorance and refuse to be victims or perpetuators of the same. We are so infatuated that we can't see what is really going on until we take ourselves out of this picture...much like in a relationship.

We're going to feel used, and if we let this continue, it will only be time until others point out and say, "Aha, see, young minds don't know anything and are so easy to manipulate." The only way to save our reputation as progressive, bright minds that deserve respect is to stop digging outselves in a hole with denial and come to terms with reality. That's what we criticize others for, and we need to do the same.

In all honesty, college students work hard, study hard, socialize hard. We try hard. We trust hard. College students are so busy that we trust what friends tell us and support what friends tell us. When I spoke up in class about Obama's Military Advisor being Anti-Semitic, I heard people gasp. I don't think people hear about this, and that's why they don't know. If you support Obama, of course they're not gonna tell you, "Oh, btw, his advisor is Anti-Semitic." You're not gonna hear it bc most likely, that's where you'll get all your infomation about the candidate from--they're just not going to tell you about the bad things. Supporting Obama clearly is the popular thing to do...it's a fad. A trend like Forever 21 and trapeze dresses. We are going to look back and think, "Wow. I can't believe I was a follower so easily when I thought I set my own trends." Those of us who wore trapeze dresses will look back and think, "I can't believe I wanted to look pregnant when I wasn't."

Maybe They're Afraid Remembering Colin Powell Could Overshadow Obama's Successes?

I said in my last and 1st (ironic word choices...I do mean the last post I made which happens to be my first) post that I wanted to touch on Colin Powell.

I recall people still reminiscing on wanting him as President after Desert Storm. In fact, it seems like the masses really wanted him, but he turned down the Party's nomination after his return, saying that he wanted to spend time with his family. That's a wise man, but you also have to wonder how it would have changed history...I mean, this was YEARS before Obama ever came into the picture, and most likely, if he ran, Powell would have probably won. It's not like he had only black people who supported him--even Mormons I spoke to just a couple months ago wanted him as President. This gives you an idea of how likeable of a candidate he would have been.

What's so odd is that now with Obama as a potential, people are calling for "change" and saying what a big success this is to, namely, the black community. Have people forgotten about Colin Powell? Doubt it. But it should definitely be recognized that Powell does belong to a different party and if anything, acknowledging his ability to get mass support for the elections (despite not being white) long before Obama would mean that Obama, then, is nothing special.

This makes it seem almost like Colin Powell and Condeleezza's successes are nothing to praise because, while they could both be compared to Obama in terms of skin, they belong to the opposing party and a success for Powell and Rice wouldn't mean a success for "their people"--it could be seen as a success, instead, for the Republican Party. Irony?

Colin puts the POW in Powell. I like that better than OBAMB a your country. Actually, now POW just ends up looking like Pris. of War without the comic book excitement....POW = McCain. Oh quirkiness at its glory.

Note: The remainder of my blogs will probably use "black," "un-Caucasian," and maybe even "African American" interchangeably because once I tried being PC by calling someone African American, and he told me he preferred "black" because his great, great grandparents were the Africans from Africa but he was indefintely black. So if you're offended by me using either of these, at least this way you'll only be 1/3 offended. Or maybe 2/3. Depends.

Irony: I should be a Fortune Teller!

Ok, so the 1st blog I wrote got erased since my Internet Explorer shut down....while dismayed, I'll just jump right in to what I was saying anyway.

But 1st:
People never like to hear what they don't want to hear...so I'm sure some people won't like what I write about. That means I'm doing my job. :)
Let it be known that whatever you read on here is written in a style that will follow my stream-of-conscience and is in no way meant to be in an Academic style...that's reserved for papers! Don't want to bore now. Whatever I write about has substance and support to it, but since it's a blog, I most likely won't cite sources as you have Google in your toolbar right there which can do the job in a jiffy for you! I am a nice person, BUT this being an open-minded blog, you will find some un-PC remarks here and there as well as irony, satire, and sarcasm. Feel free to leave comments or criticism, as both are what make life interesting and enjoyable.

Why I should be a fortune teller!

A few weeks back, I commented a few times basically on how Dr. Condeleezza Rice could be Vice-President or even President and the impacts this would have.
Why I mention this now is that I called it, even if I was sarcastic....but when I talked about it, I meant it was something that has potential and I could see actually happening so 1/2 serious and 1/2 sarcasm. Watching Anderson Cooper 360 tonight, they briefly mentioned circling rumors of McCain possibly picking Rice as his running mate. Of course, them denying these rumors doesn't mean that denying things doesn't stop them from being true.

Hillary Clinton keeps talking about her "35 years of experience." The only years she can claim to have any kind of real (or close enough to it) experience is 8 years as First Lady, dodging sniper bullets and being with Bill when he picks up the red phone @ 3am (booty calls anyone?) Don't forget about her years as Senator...which is, if you do the math, 35-8 = 27 years. Yes, because people are allowed to be senator for that long. Riiiiight. I know we can assume that she obviously means she's had real experience outside of these 2 to add up to that many years...but it's so nice of her to never touch on what exactly she spent 35 years doing. Everyone knows it's pure BS but I'm surprised no one has really dogged her for it. Quite an interesting election...

The reason why I joked about Rice being a good pick was because Hillary keeps saying her "experience" over and over, and yet Rice is the one who has all of that REAL experience over Hillary. Let's face it, there's no doubt that at least Rice has ACTUALLY spoken face-to-face with other nations' leaders over policies and issues and has actually tried to help solve them...this doesn't mean she did solve them, it just means there's actual proof that Condeleezza actually does what Hillary *claims* she herself has done.

Not only does Condeleezza have more experience than Hillary will ever have without even having to lie about it, she also would be BOTH the FIRST WOMAN AND FIRST NON-CAUCASIAN...she pretty much beats BOTH Obama and Clinton there. SHABAM! I'm not even going to say first black because frankly, it's not like an Asian has ever had it before either...so first non-white. There.

I also wanted to mention Colin Powell, but you know what? I'm gonna do it in a 2nd post since this one is looong, long loooonggg...and this way, I can get 2 posts done in 1 day. Hurrah!
