A while back I wrote about the change in John McCain's website to be more welcoming. I have print screens for you to see the difference. The McCain Store is a good example of what the entire old site used to look like.
BEFORE (the whole site was dark and dreary like a 24 episode)
AFTER (more airy and friendly looking...similar to Obama's)
IMPROVEMENTS: 1) They made the site easier visually and localized things. 2) They also got high tech on us with the left side bar transforming into a slideshow with different topics.
3) They included Cindy McCain more on their site and really have you focus and realize that she has a history of doing work
And I have a print screen of Obama's so you can see what I mean. Most of the students in our class said they preferred Obama's and liked the ease of the site and said that McCain's was too dark and serious.
