thoughts.

So I'm thinking about that video from Obama's supporters early on in the race when they had that pole vaulter who "broke the mold." Remember? They had Hills on the big screen and they were alluding that all of her supporters had no minds of their own and there was no diversity.

To remind you, I'll post the vid here:

Now, thinking about what they're saying, and thinking about the more that I find out or see...it's actually quite the opposite. I'm not saying Obama's supporters have no minds of their own. That's quite the contrary. Actually, they DO have minds of their own which is why I believe they supported a candidate that was so different. They (I myself included) became enthralled with this figure and went against the tide or classic politics....

The unfortunate thing is that in trying to be different and celebrate that, really we have become the same...and that's no necessarily a good thing. It's not good when you want something so badly that you are unable to see the facts laid out in front of you. Again, I'll say it...no one enjoys being wrong, but if you realize you're wrong, instead of making excuses and trying to ignore it, it's time to admit it before it's too late...before we realize we really did want someone who had more pride and honor in our country. All countries go through good and bad, but successful countries don't have leaders who believe their country, AS A WHOLE, EVERYTHING INCLUDED, should be looked down upon.

I'm a middle child...so I'm all for levying things and coming to an agreement, but I also know my history and I also will go against the tide when it's not popular to do so.
It will not be good to have a leader with:
1) extremely radical ties and we see nothing wrong with that now
2) charismatic and persuasive personality combined with above fore mentioned and below
3) no real experience with anything...not even his profession of law or even passing a bill (all senators introduce bills. Study state government.)
4) abrasive when questioned or hears what s/he doesn't want to hear...even to a common citizen
5) no real pride, faith (not necessarily religious), and honor in the country which gave us all a chance to build ourselves lives in which we are responsible for, combined with openly showing it and being highly charismatic and persuasive.
